And thanks for stopping by for a visit! We'd like to take you on a short tour of the VDE - the Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies. In a nutshell, the VDE was founded in Germany in 1893 and has evolved into one of the largest technical and scientific associations in Europe. We currently have over 34,000 members, including a broad spectrum of engineers, scientists, technicians and some 5,000 students.

In addition, some 1,250 corporate and institutional members represent all of Germany's major enterprises in the electrical, electronic and information technology industry, the electrical utilities, federal authorities and institutions.

We are headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, and are represented in Berlin and Brussels or by 29 branch offices throughout the country.
